The route to the cache is along a disused rail bed and the ground was quite soft and muddy in places after the recent rainfall.

Short, steep slope from the road and then a fairly flat walk towards GZ. Approx 120m from GZ the ground slopes away steeply again and this is quite slippery when wet.

Roadside parking @ N 53° 33.876 W 002° 33.472.

Entry onto disused rail bed via dirt track up short, steep slope.

Rail bed is pretty level - it would have to be afterall as at one point it would have carried railway lines ;)

It is quite muddy though in places - wellies are useful.

About 135m from the cache the path slopes down off the rail bed to the lower level naturally - no need to scramble down the side of the embankment.

From there the path to r GZ is fairly flat, across grass which is slightly boggy in places in wet weather.

GZ is on a steepish slope which is slippery in wet weather.

A skilled mountain biker could probably get here OK via this route. Anything else on wheels would probably struggle.

OTHER ROUTES ARE AVAILABLE.
